Terrestrial tides 2013

17 imprints of the ground made in different locations casting, glass and cristal, iron 17 elements, each 100 x 30 x 30 cm

Like the ocean tides, terrestrial tides are a physical phenomenon created by gravitational forces. The continental slabs that float on magma are subjected to the pressure of the water, the atmosphere, the attraction between the Sun and the Moon. Some slabs are open, the glass, the liquid hasn’t covered the relief of the mold. Like the water that laps against the coasts and lets the tectonic slabs emerge. The installation represents a constellation of places that float in the air, adrift.
