Trickle-down2021

1065 drops of blownglass on metallic cables

Ruissellement (Trickle-down) is an arrangement of glass hanging from the branches of trees. Blown-glass drops thread onto ropes form a transparent curtain of raindrops.

Water has become, and will increasingly be, a preoccupation not just for farmers but for each and every one of us. The Massif du Sancy possesses a wealth of water resources. Rainfall is closely linked to the forest, a habitat which is conducive to the evaporation, tapping and filtration of water. Through this installation of poetic fragility, the artist aims to highlight this special and vital relationship between water and the forest and, through the trickle-down effect, between living things more generally and our own living environment.
