Hydrangeas2023

spun glass, slate slabs 80 x 40 x 40 cm

Transparent, colorless and ghostly hydrangeas are fixed to the wall. They take root in a slate support. On the wall wall, a vague halo of color emanates from the back of the slate slabs. At the Angers arboretum, the hydrangea collection is supplied with water an irrigation system independent of the rest of the park. The water is acidified. For the same variety, hydrangea color varies according to planting conditions and soil acidity.
