“The Dust Bowl is a series of dust storms that struck US and Canadian prairies between the 1930s and 1940s. This phenomenon is caused by the combination of severe draught after a period of abnormal humidity in the region of the Great Plains, with intensive agriculture that neglected erosion protection techniques.”
